The pocket-sized 1660 barcode scanner from CipherLab is their smallest solution, combining all the features you need in a pocket-sized handheld scanner. With built-in BlueTooth technology, the 1660 allows instant data scanning to a BlueTooth compatible laptop, notepad PC, PDA or any BlueTooth enabled device. Strictly speaking, the CipherLab 1660 part number represents the barcode scanner unit itself. In addition to the 1660, there is a USB transceiver model 3610.

The CipherLab 3610 is a USB BlueTooth transceiver designed specifically for the CipherLab 1660 barcode scanner. By making a dedicated transceiver, CipherLab has made the pairing process as easy as scanning two barcodes on the bottom of the transceiver unit. The 3610 is also completely plug-and-play, no software installation required.

The two items can be ordered together as a kit. This kit is commonly reffered to as a 1660K.
