CipherLab 8400 Part Numbers

There are two major configurations of the CipherLab 8400 series handheld. These are the CipherLab 8400 and CipherLab 8470.

The CipherLab 8400 is the base model.
The CipherLab 8470 is the same as the 8400, with the addition of 802.11 wireless network capabilities.

Some people will add a single letter to the end of the model number to designate the scanner type. For example an 8400C has a CCD barcode scanner, while the 8400L has a laser barcode scanner.

CipherLab Warranty Information

The 8400 series carries a 1 year manufacturer's warranty. An extended warranty option may be available during checkout.
