CipherLab 8500 Part Numbers

There are four major configurations of the CipherLab 8400 series handheld. These are the CipherLab 8500, CipherLab 8570, CipherLab 8580, and CipherLab 8590.

The CipherLab 8500 is the base model.
The CipherLab 8570 is the same as the base model, with the addition of 802.11 wireless network capabilities.
The CipherLab 8580 is the same as the base model, with the addition of GSM/GPRS wireless network capabilities.
The CipherLab 8590 is the same as the base model, with the addition of both 802.11 wireless network and GSM/GPRS cellular network capabilities.

Some people will add a single letter to the end of the model number to designate the scanner type. For example an 8500C has a CCD barcode scanner, while the 8500L has a laser barcode scanner.

CipherLab Warranty Information

All CipherLab terminals carry a 1 year manufacturers warranty. An extended warranty option may be available during checkout.
